Terms of Service

Welcome to Basecurve. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of basecurve.app and the related app (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated as a non-commercial personal project by an individual based in Sweden ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Basecurve. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use by a single individual. One account per person.

Your account

You are responsible for the security of your account, including keeping your password confidential. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Acceptable use

• Don't try to access other users' data or bypass our security.
• Don't scrape, overload, or otherwise abuse the infrastructure.
• Don't use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to upload unlawful content.
• Don't attempt to reverse engineer the Service beyond what is permitted by law.

Your data

The activities, notes, and preferences you log are yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, store, and display that data back to you so the Service can function. We do not use your data for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Health and fitness disclaimer

Basecurve is a tracking and visualisation tool, not medical advice. Heart-rate zones, max-HR estimates, and any other figures shown are approximations based on common formulas and your inputs. Always consult a qualified healthcare or fitness professional before starting, changing, or interpreting a training programme. Use the Service at your own risk.

Service availability and changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, on a best-effort basis by a single individual. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may pause or discontinue the Service. Where reasonably possible, we will give advance notice and an opportunity to export your data before any discontinuation.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. Deletion is immediate and permanent. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or that put the Service or other users at risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or training results, arising out of your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including the mandatory rights of consumers under Swedish and EU consumer-protection law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Swedish courts. If you are a consumer residing in another EU/EEA country, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
